While there has been a lot of focus on the Triumph brand making their way into the motocross scene (the FIM Motocross World Championship in Europe then the AMA Supercross and Motocross championships here in the U.S. in the future as well), Beta Motorcycles is also a new brand and team on the scene as well. The Liqui Moly Beta Racing Team announced in June that Benny Bloss would race for the team in its debut season of AMA Supercross in 2024. Yesterday, the team teased some news of their second rider with a quick video of a #45 Beta machine (Colt Nichols is career #45). Today, the brand confirmed Nichols has joined the team on a two-year deal for 2024 and 2025.

Liqui Moly Beta USA Racing Team Signs Colt Nichols for SX

The Liqui Moly Beta Racing Team has confirmed the signing of Colt Nichols on a two-year deal to race the 450SX class at the AMA SuperCross. Nichols joins Benny Bloss as the two factory riders who will compete in the inaugural Supercross season for Beta Motorcycles.

Colt Nichols turned pro in 2015. He finished third place in the 250SX West in 2019, and in 2021 Nichols won the 250SX East Championship. He has four career wins in Supercross and was the 450SX Rookie of the Year this last season. Colt will look to build on the momentum from his standout rookie campaign.

Nichols will begin testing soon on the Beta RX as preparation for the 2024 season continues.
