On a recent trip to visit the legendary Dirt Bike magazine editor Rick "Super Hunky" Sieman handed over some old boxes of magazines and catalogs that he thought we might like having here at the Racer X offices. Inside one box we find a rare gem: the souvenir program for the 1973 International Six Days Trial, held in and around Dalton, Massachusetts. This was the first time the event had ever been held in the United States, and the book itself is like looking at a time capsule for the off-road industry as it was just gaining traction in the wake of the film On Any Sunday. This was just before the Japanese OEMs went all-in on the US motorcycling market, and the bikes available to new enthusiasts came from all over the world. So for this week's List, we thought we would share the various advertisements from the motorcycle makers that existed in September 1973.
