Germany has announced its team for the 2016 Motocross of Nations and for a third consecutive year, it won’t include Ken Roczen.
Roczen was absent from the team in 2015 due to a back injury. In 2014 he was in the process of switching from Red Bull KTM to Soaring Eagle/Jimmy John’s/RCH Suzuki and elected not to race. With his pending move to Honda HRC for the 2017 season, the 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 450 National Champion will once again sit out the ‘Nations for the Germans.
Roczen helped lead Germany to its first ever MXoN title in 2012 with Max Nagl and Marcus Schiffer. The following year—the last time Roczen rode at the event—the team struggled to a seventh place finish even with Roczen going 1-2.
Max Nagl (MXGP), Henry Jacobi (MX2), Dennis Ullrich (Open) will represent Germany in Maggiora, Italy, on September 25.
