[Update 1:23 p.m EST]
We reported earlier today that Yoshimura Suzuki will get Blake Baggett and James Stewart back this weekend for Round 5 of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross at the Tennessee National this weekend. Turns out that's not for certain, as the press release states the two riders are slated to return, but the team says the final decision will come down to how the week goes for the riders. So they're slated to return, planning to return, but nothing is certain yet.
Matt Bisceglia is again on stand by as a replacement if they can't go.
Baggett sustained a broken collarbone at the opening round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross when he high-sided late in the second moto. Although able to finish the remaining laps, Baggett was forced to undergo surgery the following Monday to repair the damage.
Less than a week after surgery, Baggett attempted to race the second round of the championship at Glen Helen, finishing 16th in the first moto before pulling out of moto two. He would miss the next two rounds at Thunder Valley and High Point.
In his return to Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, Stewart crashed in the first moto at the opening round, popping his shoulder out in the process. He was carted off the track with his arm in a sling. He attempted to race Glen Helen the following week, but made the decision after qualifying to rest the injury.
The team brought on Matt Bisceglia to contest Thunder Valley as a fill-in rider. In his first 450 race, the former GEICO Honda rider finished 10th overall. With both Baggett and Stewart out for High Point, Bisceglia once again filled in with the team, finishing sixteenth overall after crashing in the second moto.
