Defending MXGP champion Romain Febvre had a scary crash today in qualifying at the MXGP of Great Britain.
Febvre came together with Ben Townley in the race and went down hard. He was taken away on a stretcher and according to the team he was diagnosed with a "head injury and fractured middle finger."
The release from the team is below.
Doctors at University Hospital Southampton performed a CT scan and x-rays on his cervical spine and limbs and diagnosed Febvre with a head injury and a fractured right middle finger before releasing him from urgent care.
Febvre will consult with team staff and FIM medical personnel on Sunday to determine his next steps at the MXGP of Great Britain.
