
In his first FIM World Motocross Championship race since the 2001 season, Chad Reed qualified fifteenth today at the MXGP of Great Britain.
Reed, who will also race the MXGP of Italy next weekend, finished 0:56.060 behind MXGP points leader, and qualification winner, Tim Gajser. Max Nagl and Evgeny Bobryshev rounded out the podium.
According to OTOR, defending MXGP champion Romain Febvre crashed hard in the session and was taken off on a stretch. He was taken to the local hospital due to a concussion.

In MX2, Max Anstie won the qualifying race over Dylan Ferrandis and Jeremy Seewer. Current MX2 points leader Jeffrey Herlings, who has yet to lose an overall in 2016, finished fifth.
