Tommy Hahn and Fredrik Noren are getting company on the MotoSport.com/GPI Honda Racing team. MotoSport.com and Crossland Motorsports announced today they have signed Colt Nichols, Kyle Peters and Chase Marquier. Nichols and Peters will make their debut at the 250SX East Region opener in Arlington next weekend. Marquier, who is contesting the Amsoil Arenacross West Region and is currently third in points, will receive support from the team for the Amateur Nationals this year.
“MotoSport is excited to have these talented riders under our banner and we look forward to watching them grow and helping in their success,” said MotoSport.com director of marketing Jarrod Rogers. “We’re building a solid team foundation with Crossland and these three riders help cement things into place."
Peters joins the team following two seasons with AG Motorsports. The 2011 Loretta Lynn’s 250 A Champion had four top fifteen finishes in the East Region last year before dislocating his shoulder in Toronto and missing the remainder of the season.
Nichols (pictured above) will make his Monster Energy Supercross debut in Arlington after competing in Amsoil Arenacross last year, finishing tenth in Areancross Class points. The Oklahoma native finished second in the Open Pro Sport Class last year at the Loretta Lynn Amateur National Championship behind GEICO Honda rookie RJ Hampshire.
The team also announced today that Noren will finish out the remaining West Coast rounds of Monster Energy Supercross and then remain in California as a test rider for Honda and begin training for the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
