Honorable Mention:
1990 KX250 (Project 90)
Just for Steve.
#10: Ken Roczen Championship Video
Ken Roczen videos will be a common theme on this list. He shows up at #10 on the most viewed videos on Racer X Online in 2014. Roczen, now with RCH Suzuki, won his first career 450 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship earlier this year in style. Austin White was at all twelve rounds filming for Racer X and put together this compilation of footage.
#9: Glen Helen Pro Ride Day
Prior to the start of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, Racer X hosted a pro ride day at the site of the opening round—Glen Helen. Following a grueling five months of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, riders and fans alike were ready to hit the great outdoors. Footage at the start of any outdoors season is always a hit, and this year was no different. Check out this Matt Francis video featuring the likes of Bogle, Seely, Baggett, Canard, Barcia, and many more.
#8: 2014 Kawasaki KX450F Yoshimura Build
The first of our bike builds shows up at #8. The 2014 Kawasaki KX450F is a great bike, but we decided to make it even better. Yoshimura dialed us in with one of their exhaust systems and performed a head porting/polishing to bring the engine up to spec. Factory Connection re-valved both ends and re-sprung the suspension as well. We made a lot more adjustments, but you’ll just have to watch the video to find out more.
#7: Glen Helen
Luckily we had two videographers at the Racer X Glen Helen ride day, because people seemed to dig it. Check out Austin White’s video from the day.
#6: Red Bull Straight Rhythm with Travis Pastrana
Although Travis Pastrana retired nearly ten years ago, you wouldn’t know it by the amount of press he generates in this sport. From his appearances on Sports Center to his work with Red Bull and Nitro Circus, the charismatic former champion still garners a lot of eyeballs. Mix Pastrana with a new event and a 500, and you have a recipe for success.
#5: 2015 KX450F Press Intro
New bikes! Enough said.
#4: 2015 450 Shootout
New bikes are cool and all, but which one is the best? We’re a society that loves rankings. From college football to hottest WAGs, we need to know who #1 is. Motocross is no different. Ranking bikes is never an exact science (Hint: No one is ever happy with the rankings.), but we gave it our best shot with the 450 Shootout.
#3: 2014 Pro Circuit Husqvarna TC 125
Did you know Pro Circuit started as a Husqvarna shop? Mitch Payton and his boys got back to their roots here.
#2: Ken Roczen on RCH Suzuki
Ken Roczen on a new bike!
#1: Yamaha 2015 YZ250
People like new bikes.
