MXON MX2 Qualifying Results
Mayday, mayday! Team USA's hopes are now on red alert after Jeremy Martin went down hard during this MX2 qualifier race. He did get back up and completed a few slow laps at the end of the race, but his 33rd place will be thrown out. If Eli Tomac logs a good run in the Open race, the team could still have good gate picks tomorrow, but the real question is if J Mart's knee/ankle/foot is okay. He was down and limping for a few minutes before getting back on the bike.
We now here Martin had an injured toe. We'll keep checking in to see if he's going to be okay for tomorrow.
That's the surprising news. Not surprising, Italy's Antonio Cairoli rolled the MX2 riders on his KTM 250 SX-F, coming from around tenth to pass Dutchman Glen Coldenhoff to take the win. Good job by The Hoff to hold on for second. Also, Switzerland's Jeremy Seewer was impressive, leading a few laps early.
Here are the results:
France currently leads the qualifying standings based on Paulin's MX1 win and Dylan Ferrandis taking fourth here.
The Open division is next.
