January 24, 2013, 1:55pm
Buffalo, NY: Dunlop is pleased to announce its Elite Team Dunlop lineup for the 2013 season, with 14 returning members and four new members. Team Dunlop is one of the nation’s most respected amateur Motocross and Off-Road racer support programs, providing chosen riders with special tire support, preferred treatment service at select races, plus advertising and promotional opportunities in national media as well as the Team Dunlop website.
Returning to the team for his sixth consecutive season is Team Dunlop member Jordan Bailey, along with Sean Cantrell, Lance Kobusch, Tanner Stack, Chase Sexton, Stilez Robertson, Pierce Brown, Austin Forkner, Garrett Marchbanks, Carson Mumford, Ryder DiFrancesco, Jett Reynolds, Gage Linville and Michael Mosiman. Joining the elite team of amateur racers for their first year is Parker Mashburn, Mitchell Harrison, Hannah Hodges and Nick Romano. Team Dunlop will kick off their season at Millcreek MX in Pell City, AL for the Spring Championship.
Since its founding in 2007, many Team Dunlop members have had great success in their professional careers after graduating from the program. In 2012 alone, Team Dunlop alumni wrapped up four National championships including Justin Barcia with his second East Lites Supercross Championship, Eli Tomac with his first West Lites Supercross Championship, Blake Baggett with his first 250 Motocross Championship and Ashley Fiolek clinching her fourth Women’s Motocross Championship. This year, Barcia made history by becoming the first Team Dunlop alumni to win an AMA 450 Supercross event. He did it in only his second AMA 450 Supercross race at Phoenix, where his former Team D teammate Eli Tomac also won the 250 race. It was the first time in history two Team Dunlop graduates dominated a night of AMA Supercross.
Dunlop congratulates both new and returning Team Dunlop members and wishes them the best of luck throughout the 2013 season.
