Racer X has learned from multiple sources that Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Darryn Durham has injured his achilles tendon in a training accident. This is not a common injury for a motocrosser. DD was just getting back on the bike following shoulder surgery that knocked him out of the summer's Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
Not sure yet on Darryn's recovery schedule, but we do know that the Lites East SX Championship starts on February 16th in Arlington, Texas, which leaves about five months recovery time. We'll keep you posted as more information is known.
