Over the weekend, Drew Adams returned to the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship. This time, the Tennessee native was here to watch the racing, not compete himself. The 2024 Nicky Hayden AMA Motocross Horizon Award recipient won both the 250 and Open Pro Sport titles in his final go as an amateur before making the jump to the pro ranks full-time this year. Now racing for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki, Adams split his time off during the AMA Pro Motocross Championship break testing for the SuperMotocross Championship (SMX) playoffs and playing golf. Plus, he returned to the Ranch to watch the action at what he calls the “the dirt bike event of all dirt bike events.” He was able to get in the creek for the first time in years and said he was “Just enjoying the things I can’t really do when I’m racing here.”
Watch as Adams talks off track memories, his first year as a pro, and more.
“I had a great time, finally got to float down the river today for the first time in like seven years,” Drew Adams
