The third round of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship will take place this Saturday in Anaheim, California. Check out the list below for a look at who’ll be missing the action.
450SX
Ryan Breece – Knee | Out
Breece is recovering from a torn ACL and chose to sit out San Diego to aid in that process. He’ll miss Anaheim 2 also.
Christian Craig – Knee | Out
Craig is looking to return to racing in Tampa. He’s still recovering after tearing his ACL and meniscus at the final round of the 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mitchell Harrison – Banged up | TBD
Harrison had a big crash during qualifying in San Diego and was in too much pain to continue. He’ll ride Thursday and assess his situation at that point.
Aaron Plessinger – Hand | In
Plessinger crashed on a quad in San Diego and hurt his hand. In a release from the team afterward, Plessinger stated he wasn’t hurt bad, was just really sore, and that he’d be looking to bounce back at A2.
250SX West Region
Ryder DiFrancesco Arm |Out
Our Steve Matthes has heard DiFrancesco suffered an arm injury while riding this week and is out for Anaheim.
Derek Drake – Illness | Out
Drake is set to miss at least the first half of the season due to a bout with Lyme disease.
Evan Ferry – Achilles | Out
Ferry tore his Achilles tendon when he landed from a jump in his heat race at A1. He’s out for the season.
Talon Hawkins – Femur | Out
Hawkins suffered a broken femur in San Diego and is out for the season.
Derek Kelley – Banged Up | TBD In
Kelley had a huge crash during practice at Anaheim 1, prompting a red flag. He pulled out for the night and missed San Diego as well. He’ll ride on Thursday and make a decision later this week on whether or not he’ll line up for A2.

Billy Laninovich – Ribs | TBD
Laninovich had a big crash during qualifying in San Diego and sustained bruised ribs. He’s also pretty banged up. He plans on going out for practice at A2 to assess his situation, at which point he’ll decide if he’ll proceed.
Avery Long – Concussion, Banged Up | Out
Long had a huge crash in San Diego in the LCQ, which prompted a red flag. He’s currently in concussion protocol and is also extremely sore. He’s out for A2.
Garrett Marchbanks – Shoulder | Out
Kawasaki announced on X this afternoon that Garrett Marchbanks is out for this weekend's race. Steve Matthes is reporting Marchbanks has a shoulder injury.

Ty Masterpool – Fingers | Out
Masterpool crashed in the main last week and injured some fingers. He’s out for A2.
Stilez Robertson – Wrist | Out [Updated]
Robertson sustained severe bone bruising in his wrist when he landed hard off a jump in San Diego. He’s undergone therapy all week and hoped to line up for A2, but on Friday morning the team announced he is out for Anaheim and Glendale.
Jo Shimoda – Hand | TBD
Shimoda had an unfortunate collision with a pit board during qualifying in San Diego. He sustained two broken fingers in his clutch hand in the incident. He toughed out the main that night but hasn’t made a decision on whether or not he’ll race A2. He plans on going out for press day before deciding.
Noah Viney – Shoulder | TBD
Viney dislocated his shoulder in Anaheim after casing a big jump. He’s getting an MRI and the team won’t know the extent of the damage until the results come back. It’s unlikely he’ll race this weekend, however.
Robbie Wageman – Wrist | Out
Wageman sustained a fractured and dislocated wrist while practicing. He may return at some point during the second half of the season.
250SX East Region
The 250SX East Region kicks off on February 8 in Tampa, Florida.
Casey Cochran – Leg
Cochran sustained a leg injury in November that required surgery and is currently working on coming back from that.
RJ Hampshire – Wrist
Hampshire was slated to race 250SX West Region this year but couldn’t make it due to a nagging wrist injury sustained just before the opening round of the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. He should be active once 250SX East Region starts up.
Keegan Rowley – Wrist
The TiLube Honda ride suffered an injury (wrist) and is likely to miss all of supercross.
Devin Simonson – Wrist
Simonson sustained a wrist injury just before Christmas that required surgery. He’ll likely miss the first part of the 250SX East Region. Australian Reid Taylor gets the fill in for ClubMX.
Jalek Swoll – Achilles
Swoll is out for supercross with an Achilles injury sustained before A1.
