Ryan Breece, who finished 19th in the 450SX main event at the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross opener, missed the second round in San Diego, California, with a knee injury. In a one-minute YouTube video, Breece stated he has a torn ACL that happened in November and after a crash at the opening SX round, an MRI revealed he also has a “grade two MCL tear” and “then a little meniscus tear on the slight edge.”
Although the #200 missed the second round, he is expected the third round Anaheim 2 SX this weekend. There is a Kicker AMA Arenacross Championship round on Friday, and it seems like Breece is going to try and race both the Arenacross in Oklahoma and the supercross race in California the following day!
Breece will enter this weekend’s seventh round third in the standings behind his teammate Vince Friese and Michael Hicks.
Below is his full quote and video.
“Hey, what's up guys, Ryan Bree here. Just wanted to give you a little update on what's going on. I won't be able to make San Diego Supercross tomorrow night. I've been riding on a torn ACL that happened in November at the first round of Arenacross in Reno, Nevada. And last week at A1, I had a practice crash. Ended up finishing through the night and when I woke up on Sunday, I wasn't able to put any weight on my leg. So, last week I got an MRI. The results came back that I have a grade two MCL tear or sprain, whatever you want to call it, and then a little meniscus tear on the slight edge. So, this week I've just been recovering in a lot of ice, compression, elevation stuff, and my plan is to just recover for this week and then we're going to go to Oklahoma Arenacross on Friday night and see if we can make the A2 Supercross on Saturday night. I'll give you guys a little update on what's going on, but that's the result now. Bummed I'm going to miss tomorrow night, but I'm excited to be back.”
