The Honda CRF250R is the most improved 250 motocross bike of 2025, but we wanted to try and get a little more engine performance out of Honda’s 250 power plant, so we called Team MCR’s engine builder Chad Braun from XPR Motorsports to help us do just that. This is a starting point for some of you that may want some added meat to your new Honda as we will continue to evolve this as we save up some more dough. This build is meant to be reliable and not too expensive, so it will not break your bank. The rebuild for the engine internals are around 30-40 hours, so this isn’t a build where it’s a ticking time bomb waiting to explode all over your wallet.
