Nate Thrasher has provided an update on Instagram. The Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider rode home 10-14 moto finishes for 11th overall at the second round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship but posted afterwards he rode with a broken collarbone and bent the plate he had on the collarbone from a previous injury and surgery. The injury kept him out of the remainder of Pro Motocross as he focused on being full health for the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) playoffs.
Without racing the remaining nine rounds of Pro Motocross, Thrasher’s name dropped down the 250SMX standings. A win at the muddy San Diego Supercross 250SX main event in the second round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross secured him a spot in the LCQ races at least, but he managed to finish 20th in the standings, taking the final guaranteed spot and not having to race the LCQ races anyway.

Something to note is that Thrasher was unable to compete in last year’s SMX Playoffs. Thrasher suffered a big crash and injuries at the 2023 Atlanta Supercross speedway race that forced him to the sidelines for the remainder of the season, so this will be his first go round with SMX.
Below is Thrasher’s full post.
“We’ve been putting in the work since surgery on and off the bike. I’m excited to go racing this weekend in Charlotte and kick off the SMX playoffs on a high note. Let’s go have some fun.
See y’all there 🤙”
