With the AMA Pro Motocross Championship wrapped up, the focus now shifts to the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX). In the second season of the all-new championship, riders will qualify for the SMX Playoffs where three events will finish out the 31-race SMX season.
While this weekend’s first SMX Playoff race will take place at zMAX Dragway at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the second event will take place at Texas Motor Speedway. With this being the first stop to the NASCAR speedway in Texas, four riders—Justin Barcia, Ryder DiFrancesco, Ty Masterpool, and Grant Harlan—were invited to Texas Motor Speedway to preview the SMX Playoffs via a press conference. The event also had the four riders participate in Team Texas David Starr’s Racing School, which saw all four riders test their skills in a NASCAR race car. Check out some photos from the day.
