ELLENTON, Fla. - Feld Entertainment® announced today that tickets for the 2017 AMSOIL Arenacross season are now on sale at Arenacross.com, the official website of the championship. The most intense motocross racing on the planet will begin its 14-round journey to crown a champion on January 7, with defending titleholder Gavin Faith set to embark on his first defense of the coveted Ricky Carmichael Cup.
AMSOIL Arenacross features high-octane, full-contact action for the most intimate and captivating onslaught of the senses. Committed to building the motocross champions of tomorrow, this proving ground of talent needs no motivation and is driven by a win at all costs mentality. The cutthroat environment leaves no room for the timid, setting the stage for unparalleled levels of competition between the most promising talent on two wheels on a dirt battleground confined to the limits of an arena floor. AMSOIL Arenacross presents excitement at every turn, where fans are so close to the action they can see the dirt fly, smell the engines and feel both the rumble of the bikes and the rush of wind as they fly through the air.
Each and every round of the 2017 AMSOIL Arenacross season will be accompanied by the heart-pounding, energy thumping beats of DJ KO, who ties in the excitement on the track with music guaranteed to amplify the crowd. Together, DJ KO and the fearless riders of AMSOIL Arenacross provide a live sports experience unlike any other. The pre-race Track Party gives fans a chance to feel the dirt, get up close and personal with the riders, hang out with the Monster Energy Girls and hold the Ricky Carmichael Cup for an all ages experience that's fun for the whole family.
Last season Faith parlayed a breakout season into his first career professional title, but now has the unenviable task of defending that championship against a group of determined challengers. Champions are often decided by whoever makes the least amount of mistakes. Veterans Chris Blose and Jacob Hayes are all too familiar with the heartbreak, while up-and-comers Jace Owen and Travis Sewell hope to take the next step of their budding careers. Collectively, they'll leave it all on the line in hopes of dethroning Faith and hoisting the Ricky Carmichael Cup for the first time.
At the center of the 2017 schedule is the most groundbreaking event in AMSOIL Arenacross history with its inaugural visit to Atlanta. For the first time ever, AMSOIL Arenacross will join Monster Energy Supercross in the same city, at the same venue, on the same weekend for a co-branded celebration known as "MotoFest - The World's Greatest Motocross Festival," from February 24-27. This historic four-day showcase of the world's most elite forms of stadium competition will commemorate the sport's 25th and final visit to the legendary Georgia Dome. AMSOIL Arenacross will kick off the festivities on Friday, February 24, followed by Monster Energy Supercross on Saturday, February 25. A full slate of Amateur Supercross takes center stage on Sunday, February 26, capped off by Ricky Carmichael University on Monday, February 27. In total, upwards of 1,000 riders will converge in Atlanta for this landmark event.
