American To Take Jake Moss' Spot on National Pump/Monster Energy Kawasaki

Two days after Jake Moss announced his resignation from the National Pump/Monster Energy Kawasaki team in Australia, the team named American Kyle Peters as a fill-in rider beginning on August 21 at Toowoomba in Queensland.
Peters will race the final two rounds Australian Nationals for the team.
“We are pleased to welcome Kyle to National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team for Toowoomba and Coolum,” said team manager Troy Carroll. “Kyle has displayed his ability on many occasions in America and also here in Australia, so we look forward to working with him and finishing the season strongly.”
Riding for RIDE365.com/Honda Racing in the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross 250SX West Region, the North Carolina native finished eighth overall with eight top fifteen finishes. Peters raced the first three rounds of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross with the team—his best finish was a sixteenth at Thunder Valley in moto one.
With the team only contracted to do the first three rounds, Peters put together his own 450 deal riding a Husqvarna and raced Tennessee and RedBud. His best finish was thirteenth in moto one at RedBud.
Peters has spent time racing in Australia previously, finishing third overall in the SX2 class of the 2014 Australian Supercross Championship.
The team will only focus on the MX1 class moving forward, with Peters joining holdover Kade Mosig.
The signing of Peters may signal the end of Matt Moss’ tenure with the team. He and brother Jake have been absent from the last two rounds of the series. Speculation regarding their absence has centered on results from a test by the Australian Sports Anti-doping Authority (ASADA). At this time, Motorcycling Australia (MA) and series promoter Williams Event Management (WEM) have yet to release a statement on the matter.
According to MotoOnline.com.au, WME has declined to comment when contacted. MotoOnline.com.au has also attempted to contact Matt Moss, but has been unsuccessful.
