Round 7 of the 2016 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals returned to the Maritimes and the Pleasant Valley track just outside Truro, Nova Scotia, for the first time since 2002.
In the MX2 class, #4 KTM Thor Racing rider Cole Thompson was looking to avenge his three-place track-cutting penalty from the previous week in Quebec, and wanted to put a stamp on his dominance. The MX1 class would see Thompson’s 450 class teammate, #118 Davi Millsaps, return to form after coming back from injured ribs and raw hands the week before.

The series moves on to Moncton, New Brunswick, and the historic Riverglade track this coming Sunday.
