Darryn Durham released a statement today on Instagram announcing that he would miss round nine of Monster Energy Supercross at Daytona after bruising his spleen in a crash at the 250SX East Region season opener in Atlanta last weekend.
In his Instagram post, Durham said that he’s spent most of the week in the hospital.
After missing the better part of the last three seasons due to injury, Durham put together his own program this year with backing from FastHouse, Pacific Coast Customs, DC and Von Zipper, among others.
He finished an impressive seventh at the East Region opener.
