Round 1 of AMA Monster Energy Supercross at Anaheim is in the books and Team TPJ/Fly/Suzuki’s team manager, Ted Parks, is pleased with the team’s first effort and results.
Nick Schmidt #79 looked confident and smooth, finishing 25th for the night in the 450SX class, while teammate Teddy Parks #247 finished close behind with a 28th place finish.
This was a strong start for Teddy, considering that Saturday’s practice was his first time riding his new 2016 RM-Z450.
Dustin Pipes (#95) unfortunately missed Round 1 of racing due to a shoulder injury sustained earlier in the week during training. Dustin is expected to return back to racing in approximately six weeks.
Switzerland born Auberson Killian (#902) made his American debut and finished 32nd place in the 250 class aboard his Suzuki RM-Z250.
