Privateer Gannon Audette sustained a lacerated liver, fractured ribs, bruised lung and separated shoulder in a practice crash over the weekend, according to a post on his Instagram account.
In his fifth professional season last year, the Minnesota native finished seventeenth overall in the 250SX East Region. His best finish was a twelfth at Atlanta 1.
After winning two titles during the last two years of his amateur career at Loretta Lynn’s (450 B Mod in 2009 and 450 A/Pro Sport in 2010) Audette turned pro with Star Racing in 2011. He spent one year with the team and has mostly been on a privateer effort since, riding for Team Legends and Heroes the last two seasons.
His status for the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross season has not been determined. We will have more information once it becomes available.
