SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - For 40 years, Carlsbad Raceway stood as part of the historical fabric of racing in the U.S. Sadly, this venue closed its gates in 2004, but the World Famous Carlsbad Raceway Monument Project now seeks to commemorate this landmark track, and is proud to announce the availability of all-new limited edition Carlsbad Raceway t-shirts.
Ever since motocross was introduced to America, Carlsbad Raceway served as an iconic destination for world-class racers and international events. From motocross GPs to road racing and drag racing events, Carlsbad Raceway was a fixture in southern California's golden age of racing. Although it has been closed for over a decade now, its history remains alive and its memories continue to be celebrated by those fortunate enough to have visited Carlsbad Raceway during its golden age.
The World Famous Carlsbad Raceway Monument Project now seeks to remember this landmark track by building a permanent interpretive display overlooking the original site. Through the help of the Road 2 Recovery Foundation, limited edition Carlsbad Raceway Monument t-shirts are available for $31 each, with proceeds going toward the building of the Carlsbad Raceway Monument in 2016.
