Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Nathan Watson is expected to miss six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured bone in his wrist today, the team announced. The injury was sustained last weekend during the ADAC MX Master Series in Germany. Watson will miss this weekend’s MXGP of Trentino in Italy.
Watson, currently twenty-second in the MXGP standings after three rounds, scored his first points of the season at the MXGP of Argentina. Details on a possible fill-in rider were not announced. Watson could return at his home MXGP event at Matterley Basin, Great Britain, on May 24.
