Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. awarded Excel Rim Co., Ltd. with a Quality Control prize for 2014 during the 2015 New Year’s Ceremony, which took place in Hamamatsu City, Japan.
Excel Rim was very honored to receive this award, which is assigned by Yamaha to the suppliers who achieved a three-year period with no quality claims.
This outstanding result was achieved thanks to Excel Rim’s quality control plan: a daily improvement activity aimed at offering highly reliable product quality.
The Excel Quality Control Implementation program is based on the following main activities:
- Quality starts from 5S (Japanese quality improvement philosophy): Improving the working environment, particularly focusing on sorting, setting-in-order and polishing.
- Quality is based on Lot Guarantee: Implementing "first/final" inspection for every single lot to assure and control the Product Quality, and constantly enhancing Excel’s 5M points (machinery, manpower, material, measurement, and method).
- Quality Judgment from the Customer's point of view: focusing on appearance quality to fully understand and assure end-customers' quality requirements.
