Payson, UT – Rocky Mountain ATV/MC will continue to serve as one of the major sponsors for Ricky Carmichael University in 2015. Two major facets of this sponsorship involve a presence at this year’s event at Muddy Creek as well as a contest to send five winners to RCU. This marks the third year that Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and Ricky Carmichael University have partnered together.
RCU has grown in prominence within the motocross community as a once-in-a-lifetime educational experience for amateur racers to learn from racing legends. It is open to everyone ages 13 or older. The hands-on training takes place right on the track. There is also a Q&A session held in a classroom format. This year’s currently scheduled instructors include Ricky Carmichael, Jeff Emig and Jeff Stanton. With 25 major titles among the three of them, it’s clear that they bring a high caliber of instruction to the event.
RCU will move to a new venue and date in 2015. The event will take place on July 10 at Muddy Creek, home of the Tennessee National in Blountville, TN. This change will take advantage of the premiere motocross track at Muddy Creek while also bringing this elite educational opportunity closer to residents of Tennessee and the surrounding states.
Rocky Mountain ATV/MC will hold its annual contest to send five lucky winners to RCU. In past years, the contest has been a huge success, providing the event’s tuition costs, travel reimbursement and lodging accommodations for several aspiring amateurs. Full details for this year’s contest will be announced at a later time.
“It has been wonderful to be able to work with RCU in the past. We’re thrilled to serve as a sponsor again in 2015,” said Dan Thomas, CEO of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. “This is one way we’ve found to really make a difference for the amateur motocross community. Ricky Carmichael University is a prestigious event, and we’re pleased to be a part of it.”
“RCU exists to help riders improve their skills at a level that generally isn’t available to them. We’re really lucky when we find sponsors who catch the vision of what RCU is all about, but that’s exactly what we have in Rocky Mountain ATV/MC,” said Ricky Carmichael. “They really understand the amateur motocross scene, and their sponsorship will help allow riders to participate in our school. It’s great to have them back for another year.”
Registration for the event is currently open at www.RickyCarmichaelUniversity.com.
