51FIFTY Energy Drink and Scott Stewart have come to terms on a deal that will see Stewart serve as Austin Politelli's mechanic in 2015, the team announced today.
"I'm definitely excited to be on board," explained Stewart. "This is my first year with the team, and it's awesome to have the great support from 51FIFTY, Yamaha, and all our sponsors. The YZ250F is great, and working with a Austin is a benefit, it definitely makes my job easier, not less stressful, but easier! The two of us have become close and built a solid program over the last few months. We'll be ready come Aanaheim 1, so keep an eye on #981."
Team manager Craig Monty added: "Having Scott on board for this year is a huge plus. He's been working hard for Austin, they are learning from each other. Additionally, he brings a wealth of experience to the table and, at the same time, he also has a great demeanor, good vibe, which is important when we 're at the test track and races."
