Freeport, IL - Team BWR announces a one-year deal with K1 Speed that will see Team K1 Speed/BWR Engines/SSi Decals riders compete in the 2015 AMA Supercross Series aboard Brian White Racing Hondas.
"Myself and the rest of the team are beyond excited to team up with K1 Speed for 2015. We are both new to the supercross scene, but I anticipate that we will grow together into a longterm powerhouse partnership in the upcoming years. If you've never visited a K1 Speed facility, grab your wife, your kids, your buddies, or whoever, and head to your local facility and check it out. I promise you won't regret it!" said Team Owner, Kyle White.
The four-rider team will be composed of seven-time Amateur National Champion Austin Coon of Spencer, WV, riding 450SX West/250SX East, two-time Arenacross Lites West Coast runnerup Kyle White of Freeport, IL, riding 250SX West/450SX East, and two-time Amateur Arenacross Champion Zack Gurley of Farmington, NM, riding 250SX West. Negotiations with a fourth and final rider to ride 250SX East are still in progress.
Team K1 Speed/BWR Engines/SSi Decals has slingshotted its way into Monster Energy Supercross by following the path set forth for the riders competing in AMSOIL Arenacross featuring Ricky Carmichael's Road to Supercross. "The program was designed for the riders, but as our riders graduated through and we had built strong relationships, we really wanted to stick together. So we made the decision to move the entire team to supercross for 2015," said Crew Chief, Brian White.
