Maxima Oils celebrated its landmark oil 927 on September 27. Founded by Dick Lechien (Ronnie’s dad) in 1979, Maxima has grown to become one of the top-selling oils in the nation. To celebrate, Racer X Online held a trivia contest with the winner receiving a box of 927, the leading two-stroke oil.

Below are the trivia questions with answers. Congrats to Rory O'Neill from Indiana. Rory was the winner of the trivia contest and will receive a box of 927 from Maxima.

1.) Who was the last rider to win an AMA Motocross National or AMA Supercross on a two-stroke, and where was it? 

Chad Reed, Las Vegas, 2005

2.) Who was the first Honda rider to win a Grand Prix overall in the FIM World Championships and where was it?

Pierre Karsmakers, 1975 Canadian 500cc GP at Copetown on a 400cc

3.) According to the AMA’s numbering system, what was the largest drop in numbers from one year to the next ever for a rider? (For example, Ryan Villopoto went from #207 in 2005 to #51 in 2006, a jump of 156 numbers.)

Between 2001 and 2002, Michael Byrne went from #990 to #35, a jump 955 numbers; Larry Ward dropped from #971 to #17 in 1989-1990, a drop of 954 numbers.

4.) Name the Team USA rider who won as an American one year, but also raced for different country another year in the Motocross des Nations.

Billy Liles rode for Luxembourg in 1989, then Team USA in 1992.

5.) Name the American who finished first in his class in a moto at the Motocross of Nations, but for a different country—and what was the country?

In 1989 Trampas Parker rode the 500 class for Italy and finished top 500 in the final moto behind Team USA’s 250 rider Jeff Stanton.

6.) Who won the 500 Class at the first Superbowl of Motocross and what brand of bike was he riding?

Bryar Holcomb on a Suzuki.

7.) Who was the last champion of Trans-AMA/Trans-USA Motocross Series?
