Kamloops, BC - On the eve of the kickoff of the 2014 Canadian National Motocross season, the Monster Energy Thor Kawasaki team is excited to announce a last minute addition to their already formidable lineup – Kemptville, Ontario’s Jeremy Medaglia.
Medaglia, the reigning Canadian Arenacross Champion and current national number four rider, who won the Deschambault round in 2013 in the MX1 class, will drop down to MX2 to join defending champion Austin Politelli and rookie, Jess Pettis as the team looks to make it three straight championships in the class as the 2014 series begins on May 31, at Nanaimo, British Columbia’s Wastelands MX Park.
Medaglia is excited for the opportunity: “I was disappointed when things fell apart with my previous team so close to the start of the season but I’m grateful for the opportunity that the Monster Energy Thor Kawasaki team has given me with such little time to put things together. Obviously, their reputation speaks for themselves and I know I’ll have the bike and support to contend for this championship.”
Team owner, Jason Hughes, knew he had to get Jeremy on board when the opportunity came up: “Jeremy is a rider we’ve had our eyes on for a while. We had him for Arenacross a few years ago and we’ve always wanted to work with him again so when the chance to get him came up, I knew we had to figure out a way to make the budget work to get him on the team. With him and Austin Politelli we’ve got a solid 1-2 punch in the MX2 class and I can’t wait to see how this summer goes.”
