Anderson and More on DMXS Radio
January 14, 2014, 5:40pm
Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard was poised to make a full run at supercross after a successful year and getting in some racing overseas during the off-season. That plan was sidelined when the popular Oklahoman broke his arm over Thanksgiving weekend that required surgery to repair. We’ll get the latest on his recovery and his thoughts on the racing so far.
Rockstar Energy KTM’s Jason Anderson proved that his impressive win at Anaheim was no fluke after pulling nearly the same page from his playbook for his victory in Phoenix. We’ve known Jason and his family since he rode much smaller orange bikes back in the amateur days and are stoked for their success.
JGR’s Justin Brayton reminded us all just how deep the field is with a solid ride to the podium right from the drop of the gate. It’s easy to get overlooked with the band of usual suspects and celebrity rookies in the 450 class, but JB showed that they’re all working hard for the same goals each weekend … get on the box. We always enjoy catching up with one of the sport’s most professional and polite riders in the pits.
TLD/Lucas Oil/Red Bull Honda’s Shane McElrath proved coming out of the amateurs that hard work and results can change your life after lighting up the sport in 2012 at Loretta Lynn’s. TLD took notice and forever changed the path of Shane’s career. He’s getting valuable experience in his rookie supercross season and sits just outside the top 10 after two rounds. Shane is a great kid and his talent and humility make it hard for anyone not to be a fan.
MotoE’s Coach Robb Beams is truly one of the hardest working guys in our sport. His perseverance and professionalism have garnered a well-earned reputation and Coach Robb continues his commitment to his growing training and fitness brand, including signing on to work with Ryan Dungey this year. Robb is also excited to announce the MotoE amateur development riders for 2014 and update his February Performance Camp tonight. We’ll cover all that and get down to some bench racing, too.
