(Ketchum, ID) - With almost 50 years of industry leading innovation in optics across both Sun and Snow, Smith Optics is excited to announce yet another groundbreaking achievement and proprietary lens technology: ChromaPopTM .

ChromaPop is the world’s most scientifically advanced polarized lens, with new film-free polarization technology, en- gineered to optimize color and increase visual clarity. ChromaPop eliminates color confusion for the brain, ultimately recognizing true color, faster, regardless of lens tint. When light passes through a traditional lens, there are two points where light waves intersect and the brain has to work to decipher whether its seeing red, green or blue. With Chro- maPop lens technology, the color intersections are blocked so the brain immediately recognizes true vibrant color as it should be seen with increased depth and detail of objects, while reducing eye fatigue. ChromaPop lenses will be available in four proprietary tints: ChromaPop Polarchromic Ignitor, ChromaPop Polar Brown, ChromaPop Polar Gray Green and ChromaPop Polar Platinum.

ChromaPop lens technology also offers a proprietary authentic Smith Prescription Sun solution. This RX solution offers identical tints to Smith plano lenses in addition to the same technical efficacy for light management and visual acuity.

The high level of clarity of ChromaPop lenses guarantees a better field of vision, even in higher-index, 8 base wrap styles. Identical look, feel and performance....all in your prescription sunglass lenses.

Come see for yourself why The Grass Really is Greener at Outdoor Retailer starting July 31st, 2013 - Booth # 29027E

FEATURES: + Polarized: NEW film-free polarization eliminates glues and haze. Creates unmatched visual clarity + Ultra Lightweight: 10% lighter than polycarbonate, 15% lighterweight than CR-39, and 75% lighterweight than glass + Speed of Sight: Improves speed of visual processing. See true color, faster + Clarity Redefined: Proprietary lenses crafted with science and art to blend color and clarity like no other + Scratch Resistance: 4-5 times anti-scratch performance over “plastic lenses” + Perfect Vision: Tapered Lens Technology (TLT) corrects light distortion for true optical clarity + High Impact Resistance: Ideal for all activities from casual to competition + Anti Reflection (A/R): Vacuum applied A/R coating on the backside of lenses eliminates bothersome sidelight reflections + Hydroleophobic Coating: Repels moisture, grease, and grime + Polarchromic: Photochromic technology added to select polarized tints to automatically adapt to ever-changing light conditions
