Townley, Bogle, Catanzaro on DMXS Radio
Former MX2 World Champion, and 2007 East Supercross Lites Champion, Ben Townley announced his retirement at the final round of the New Zealand Motocross Championships in front of his home track fans. We’ve enjoyed covering BT throughout his entire career and wanted to add our congratulations tonight while looking back over his wild ride around the globe.
GEICO’s Justin Bogle was forced to sit out the supercross season after injuring his wrist back in December, but the silky-voiced Okie is back on the bike and getting the ready for Hangtown. Justin had the normal hurdles that all riders face after turning pro and we think the time off the bike and the experience he’s gained thus far will have him better prepared than ever to finish out 2013 strong.
AJ Cantanzaro is looking for a little redemption after his results last year were far below what we expected, or was capable of producing. He has rededicated his efforts this year and has been training harder than ever at Club MX while contesting the 250SX East this season. The hard work paid off in Indy with an impressive 4th on the demanding track, but he’s still pushing for more. We’ll catch up with AJ tonight and get his thoughts on this pivotal year in his young career.
Vurb’s Wes Williams is a true moto nomad that is always looking to set the bar higher behind his prism in which he sees the world…..his ridiculously expense camera lens. He sleeps less than a shark and consumes more empty calories than an entire frat house to keep up his crazy schedule, but he wouldn’t want it any other way. Wes will be trading his camera for a mic tonight and will joining us in the studio.
Check out www.StickerApp.com and www.CaseApp.com for custom sticker sheets and iPhone cases, including cool examples of rider cases. The websites feature a web application with file upload and very simple drag and drop features with the ability to rotate, resize and change background colors and more. We will be giving away some custom iPhone cases in the next few weeks to help get the word out since they are from some of our core moto friends! Follow them on Instagram @StickersThatStick, @StickerApp, and @CaseApp. Also on Twitter@stsdotcom, and Facebook.com/stickersthatstick for info and examples of their work.
