  • CV Products Acquires Cycra Racing Systems
THOMASVILLE, NC, - CV Products Consolidated, LLC – a leading manufacturer of high performance race parts and accessories for NASCAR teams, auto racing and powersports professionals, celebrating 25 years in business – today announced the purchase of 100% of Cycra Racing Systems and HardStreet by Cycra. Cycra is a recognized leader in the plastic body and protection categories for the off-road powersports industry. HardStreet designs, manufactures and sells award-winning hard saddlebags and accessories that fit Harley-Davidson® models, metric bikes and cruisers.

“Here at CV Products, our DNA is rooted in racing and manufacturing, and the synergies between Cycra Racing Systems and its industry-leading brands align perfectly with our business strategies and core competencies,” said Jim Zoretich, President of CV Products, LLC. “The design, tooling and manufacturing benefits associated with this acquisition — all of which occur in the U.S. and includes Cycra’s industry-leading utilization of injection molding and thermoforming — will ultimately prove to be of benefit to our customers and our own in-house racing quotient.”

“Being part of a company that is synonymous for excellence in racing and performance is truly exciting,” says Glen Laivins, co-founder of Cycra Racing Systems. “The Cycra brand is already regarded as the premium plastic brand in both the motocross and off-road markets. Being dedicated to manufacturing our products on U.S. soil has always been at the core of our business. Now with CV Products, this commitment is even greater with their wide range of U.S.-based manufacturing infrastructure.”

The acquisition will allow CV Products to grow its existing powersports brands CV4, X2 and Xceldyne through distribution channels without causing disruption to its core auto racing customer base.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
