Dedicated Athletics Atlanta Recap

Atlanta, GA - This week, Supercross headed south to Atlanta, GA for the second round of the 250SX East Region. Dedicated Athletics rider Jimmy DeCotis #613 looked to improve on his terrific 8th place finish from last week at Cowboys Stadium. During first practice, DeCotis had a good get off in the whoops and rode the rest of the day a little banged up. Despite being sore, DeCotis qualified 11th overall. In his heat race (Heat #2) DeCotis got a bad start, but was able to finish in a respectable 6th place and secure a spot in the main event.
In the main event, DeCotis again wouldn’t get the best of starts and found himself riding near the back of the pack. DeCotis rode a consistent race and finished 14th. After a year off racing, DeCotis finds himself inside the top 10 in points as he gets back into racing mode. Look for DeCotis to continue to make some noise in 250SX as the series moves to St Louis, MO next week.
