AG Motorsports Atlanta Report
Atlanta, GA – As the 8th round of the Monster Energy Supercross rolled into Atlanta, AG Motorsports rider #50 Kyle Peters had momentum from a solid performance in Dallas.
After qualifying 9th, Kyle was placed in Heat 2. When the gate dropped for the second heat race, Kyle had a rough start as he got off the gate and was mid pack through the first lap. Kyle put his head down and began picking off riders one at a time on a track that proved to be tough to pass on. When the checkered flew, Kyle worked his way to a 4th place finish giving him a good gate pick for the Main Event.
When the gate dropped for the Main Event, Kyle again struggled with his start and came around the first turn in 10th. He battled with Lance Vincent for a few laps before finally making the pass. This allowed Faith and Hill to pull away and presented a challenge to make up the gap. Kyle put down some of his fastest laps while closing the gap on Faith and Hill but catching them proved to be easier than making the pass on a “one line” track. Kyle went on to finish 8th in the Main and currently sits 5th in the Championship points standings.
“I had an alright weekend and am still learning”, said Peters. “I have a lot to work on and will continue to improve as the season goes on. I am really looking forward to St. Louis.”
