Carlsbad, Calif. — Team Rockwell/FirePoliceMX rider Killy Rusk traveled south to Qualcomm Stadium Saturday night for round six of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, for the last 250SX West race before a two-month layoff.

It was another tough start to the day for Rusk as he was only able to record five laps in first timed practice, leaving him with the slowest time of the session. He would rebound for the second timed practice to put his (#66) Honda into his sixth consecutive night program this season qualifying 33rd. However, he was unable to qualify through to the main.

“It was another bad night,” Rusk tweeted Saturday afternoon. “I’ve got two months to be working hard. I have to give a huge shout out to Brandon Hinton and Brandon Beabout at the Rockwell gym for their amazing help.”

Rusk returns home for the break having earned three points for 31st position in the overall point’s standings. The series heads east and will return to the great northwest at CenturyLink Field in Seattle April 20. Team Rockwell/FirePoliceMX rookie Trevor Ivey will look to make his return after a broken collarbone at round two in Phoenix.

We’d like to thank all who bid on Ryan Dungey’s A3 gear. The auction ended Monday and brought in over $1200 to help buy toys for kids at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital. We currently have Davi Millsaps’ jersey and Justin Brayton’s number plate up for bid. In San Diego, we also received signed gear from Kevin Windham, Broc Tickle, Josh Grant and Eli Tomac. Follow updated links to auction pages on our Twitter feed @FirePoliceMX.
