DALLAS – Six rounds into the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, and we’re heading into the opening round of the East Region swing this weekend. Two established, competitive pro athletes will headline this season’s Team National Switchgear/Shea Racing/PassportWorld.com, powered by SMS Racing KTM, effort in AMA Supercross East Region Lites. Steven “Scuba” Clarke and Brad “Baby Face” Ripple will compete on the National Switchgear-sponsored KTM 250 SX-F race bikes beginning this Saturday, February 16 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Clarke hails from Stourbridge, England. He will compete in FLY Racing gear on the #552 KTM. Clarke raced for factory Suzuki in Australia last year, earning fourth in the Australian Supercross Championships. Prior to that he was on an American-based team and notched top five finishes in AMA Supercross Lites. Clarke returns to America for the AMA Supercross East Region Lites 250cc Class on a proven bike in the DR.D-exhaust equipped SMS Racing KTM.

Ripple will compete on a #304 KTM. He is from Crown Point, Indiana. Ripple has competed in a number of AMA Supercross Lites main events. He will ride orange in the East Region starting this Saturday on a DeCal Works-emblazoned KTM 250 SX-F

“We're very happy that Steven and Brad joined our program for 2013,” said Tim Shea, team manager. “Both riders are very talented and dedicated, we look forward to seeing them on the track at Cowboys Stadium with our SMS Racing KTM's. This is our fifth year competing in AMA Supercross and we’re grateful to our sponsors for making this possible – we would not be here without them. We're looking forward to an exciting AMA Supercross East Coast Series.”

Team National Switchgear/Shea Racing/PassportWorld.com, powered by SMS Racing KTM, will make its 2013 season debut at the Monster Energy AMA Supercross East Region opener this Saturday, February 16 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
