ODI Announces Emig as Brand Ambassador

  • ODI Announces Emig as Brand Ambassador

Riverside, CA – ODI is excited to announce the addition of their newest team member, Jeff Emig to the marketing team as a Brand Ambassador. The 2004 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame inductee has remained heavily involved in the motocross scene since his retirement from professional racing in
2000. Jeff brings to ODI an extreme amount of knowledge in marketing and product development. As a professional racer, Jeff’s well-known career earned him 36 wins and 4 titles. Jeff has maintained his public image and can now be found as the face of motocross during television coverage during both the indoor Supercross and outdoor motocross series.

“We are extremely excited to bring Jeff on board and welcome him to the ODI team. Jeff had an amazing race career but beyond that he’s has some real technical skills that will help us in product development. He still carries with him a large fan base and is one of the most recognizable faces in the pits,” stated ODI Brand Powersports Brand Manager, Kevin Stevens. “His eagerness to work with us on developing some innovative products has been very refreshing. I think post pro-career Jeff has a clear understanding of what it’s like to work out of a factory rig, but also has great knowledge of what the average rider and racer are working with each week.”

“I’ve been looking for a hard parts brand to get involved with for a while, then I crossed paths with the guys at ODI,” commented Emig. “The things these guys are doing are really looking outside of the conventional products and creating some innovative things to help racers out. We’ve had a few meetings already and I’m excited to work with the team on new product ideas and creating general awareness of the brand.”

The first project of the new partnership will be an Emig Racing/ ODI Lock-On grip. The new V2 Lock-On Grip System launched earlier this month and already offers two design patterns, a Half-Waffle and the Rogue pattern. The Lock-On Grip System eliminates the need for wire and glue by utilizing a single clamp lock-on system to hold the clutch side grip on. On the throttle side, the grip is molded directly to an OE spec throttle tube. Available in 2 stroke and 4 stroke models, each kit includes a snap on throttle cam to fit most major motocross style bikes. The Emig Racing design will provide a third grip option with ergonomic design features specifically designed by Jeff based on his years of racing experience.

About ODI: Observe. Design. Innovate. is the mantra we live by while providing products that evolve technology and allow you to focus on riding your bike, not working on it. Established over 30 years ago, ODI has become the World Leader in Grip Technology and the number 1 aftermarket grip in BMX and Mountain Biking. Working with athletes such as two time World Cup Champion Mountain Biker Aaron Gwin, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Maris Strombergs and now four time AMA Champion Jeff Emig, ODI doesn’t just make products, we innovate controls.
