BTO Sports KTM Race Report
Oakland, CA - The BTO Sports - KTM team stormed in to Oakland, CA for Round 4 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship Series Saturday on the gas and ready for the competition Saturday night.
Matt Goerke had a very strong qualifying session as he would put his BTO Sports – KTM bike in the 9th qualifying spot. As the gate dropped for his heat, Matt would charge hard the whole race as his RG3 tuned suspension would carry him to 4th place and a spot in the main event. In the 450SX main, Matt would again get a great start, missing the first lap carnage to run within the top eight. Matt would maintain his pace to the checkered flag and finish a season high 7th place. As we head in to Anaheim 3, Matt sits 10th overall in the point standings.Les Smith continued his upward progression and had his best race yet on the BTO Sports – KTM race bike. After qualifying 25th, Les would turn it up in his heat race and finish a strong 8th place and a spot in the 450SX main event for the first time this season. In the main, Les would get a good jump out of the gate and ride smart all race. His determination would lead him to finish 14th at the end of the night. A solid ride for his first main this year, expect Les in the mains from now on.
