MANTOVA, - Once again, the sun and the crowd rewarded the Airoh Mantova Starcross the event that opens the season for thirty years and that never sets, being a point of reference for the motocross scene. The event opened with a round of applause to remember Georges Jobé the 5 times World Champion winner of the Mantova International in 1986. Immediately after, the start of the races with the spectacular Airoh Cup who has seen Kevin Strijbos eliminate Max Nagl and then win in the final thanks to a slip of Rui Goncalves.

The victory of the morning was a great preview for the Belgian . In Race 1 Strijbos took a definite departure leaving behind a spectacular crash involving Goncalves, Bobryshev, Boog and Brakke. Strijbos with Rockstar Energy Suzuki perfect on the front suspension, on a fast track like never before, won ahead of team-mate Desalle and French Paulin. Excellent seventh for Lombard Guarneri with the KTM. In Race 2 was the Frenchman Xavier Boog with KTM team ICE 1 by Kimi Raikkonen gaining the holeshot, followed Leok, Strijbos and Nagl. On the second lap a fall forced to abandon Davide Guarneri, fortunately no serious consequence for the rider. On the third lap the strong Strijbos surpassing Leok and Boog and took the lead again, going to win in front of Leok, Bobryshev and Desalle.

The third and final race saw the favorite Nagl started in front of everyone for 4 laps, then a fall that involved Desalle. At that point the official Suzuki could remain calm in second place, but still catch the victory surpassing Russian of Martin Honda Evgeny Bobryshev ,the third place took French Boog. At the end for the second time Strijbos claiming Duke of Mantua (the first in 2009 with Martin Honda) second Bobryshev and third Tanel Leok. In the MX2 victory for Glenn Coldenhoff in front of Seever and Romain Febvre. Many guests in the paddock: the World Champions Dave Strijbos, Harry Everts and Joel Smets, the Ducati MotoGP rider Andrea Dovizioso , the mayor of Mantua Nicola Sodano and the Department of Sport Enzo Tonghini.

MX1 Overall Classification 1.Strijbos (Suzuki / BEL) 72 points, 2. Bobryshev (Honda / RUS) 3. Leok (Honda / East) 52 4. Horeebek van (Honda / GER) 51.

MX2 Overall Classification 1. Coldenhoff (KTM / NED) 72 points; Seewer (Suzuki / SVI) 58; Febvre ((KTM / FRA) 57, 4. Ratsep (KTM / EST) 55 5. Olsen (Honda / DAN) 52 All results:
