Shea Racing Mobile App

HOUSTON – Mobile technology offers a mechanism for fans to connect to their favorite teams and riders on a daily basis. After a testing phase, Shea Racing is proud to make available a comprehensive free mobile app for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Android-based mobile phones and tablets. Simply go to iTunes or Goggle Play and search under “Shea Racing” to download the free app.

"We are constantly looking for ways to further connect our fans to our team,” said Tim Shea, team manager. “A mobile app provides a fun way for fans to interact with us daily by getting race results, connecting with sponsors, learning about our athletes, and playing challenges that earn points toward team gear. The app is an expansion of both our fan engagement program and sponsorship benefit. I would like to thank Jenny Jackson from TopFan Sports for her assistance in creating the app.”

Shea Racing, with assistance from app builder TopFan Sports (www.top-fan.com) and Tapped Out Moto, wanted its first mobile app to give fans access to team information and be a means for fans to engage with the team and sponsors away from the races through fun games or what’s called “challenges.” Currently, there are six challenges available for users that can be played on mobile technology to earn rewards. The rewards may be redeemed for prizes, such as team posters (available now) and team gear (available in 2013). The app offers the team the ability to also share photos and videos.
