Yamalube Success at Geneva SX
at the 27th Annual International Supercross Geneva
Kennesaw, Georgia, – The 27th Annual International Supercross Geneva ended the way it began – with Justin Brayton still champion – announced Yamaha Motor Corporation U.S.A.’s Parts and Accessories Division (YPAD). This is Brayton’s third consecutive year to claim the ‘King of Geneva’ crown.
Held at the Palexpo event complex in La Voie de Moens, the race followed a two-night, Friday-Saturday format that started on Nov. 30. Brayton rode well the opening night and won his heat race, then started second in the main event before overtaking Cedric Soubeyras, who started first and finished third behind Marvin Musquin.
Saturday followed the same pattern with Brayton once again winning his heat, starting the main event in second place, and then piloting his Yamalube JGR Yamaha YZ450F to the win. Marvin Musquin and Paulin Guatier finished second and third.
Brayton, along with fellow JGR Yamaha rider Josh Grant, will compete in the opening round of the 2013 Monstter Energy AMA Supercross Championship series on Jan. 5, 2013 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
