Ontario Supermoto Season Set to Begin

The Ontario Supermoto season is set to begin June 2^nd with the first open practice track day at Supermoto Ontario’s practice track in Drumbo, Ontario. This practice day will offer riders an easy and affordable way to give Supermoto a try and racers will get a chance to get some practice in. The practice day will cost $40 per rider and each rider will need a Supermoto Ontario (SMO) practice membership or racing license.

The first SMO race of the season will take place Sunday June 17^th at the Shannonville Motorsports Park near Bellville, Ontario.  The dirt section of the track has recently been rebuilt and the awesome Shannonville facilities will make this an event not to miss. There will be an open practice session on the track Saturday night (June 16^th) and the races will run all day Sunday. The race will be round 2 of the Canadian National Supermoto Championship and round 1 of the Ontario Provincial Championship. Racers will require either a SMO or Supermoto Quebec racing license. Spectators are encouraged to come and check out the racing action.

SMO and GP Bikes have partnered to bring a Supermoto specific session to their very popular track days at the Mosport Rider Development Track (RDT).  The RDT track has been referred to as the best Supermoto track in Ontario (pavement only) and now there are more opportunities to get out and ride it.
