Gymkhana FOUR Bonus Edit
DC SHOES, FORD RACING AND KEN BLOCK ANNOUNCE
THE GYMKHANA FOUR BONUS EDIT
Huntington Beach, California – After more than 17-million views in just nine months on Gymkhana FOUR: The Hollywood Megamercial, DC Shoes and Ford Racing have teamed up to put together a raw, more focused action edit of last summer’s blockbuster gymkhana sensation. Titled, the “DC Gymkhana FOUR: Bonus Edit,” the clip removes the “Hollywood” aspects of Gymkhana FOUR and instead places the focus on Block’s behind-the-wheel driving precision by incorporating never-before-seen shots and all-new angles of previous shots.
“When we set out to do GYM4,” said Block. “The goal was make it visually different from GYM3. So, we incorporated lots of things that really represented the ‘Hollywood’ aspect of the video. This edit though, is way more focused on the driving that I was doing. I also think that this video really does a good job demonstrating the difficulty of some of the obstacles I had to negotiate. While I love the original, I think a lot of the fans who just want to see pure driving are going to be stoked on this. I’m glad DC and Ford Racing came together and put this out.”
In addition tobeing an all-new edit of last summer’s tire-smoking action, many of the new angles and never-before-seen shots further highlight the intense level of driving performed by block in Gymkhana FOUR as he debuted his H.F.H.V. Ford Fiesta through the Universal Studios back lots.
"The overall success of Gymkhana Four was unbelievable. We really wanted to create something special for all the fans that have supported the DC Gymkhana project from day one. This re-edit gives a whole new take on GYM4 focusing on the tech and performance aspect of the Ford Fiesta, while highlighting Ken's amazingdriving skills with less smoke and mirrors. Thanks go out to Ford Racing for all their support," said Jeff Taylor, VP of Marketing for DC.
DC will also be supporting the Gymkhana FOUR: Bonus Edit with an online contest. Four grandprize winners will win a Gymkhana FOUR wheel autographed by Ken Block provided by Fifteen52 Wheels, and a one day voucher to Team O’Neil Rally School, provided by Ford Racing.
