Stewart, Payton, Tedesco and Sanner on the Pulpmx Show Tonight
What an opening round at Hangtown with some major surprises and some great racing. The Pulpmx Show presented by BTOSports.com will have some managers, some racers and some ex-racers on to talk about how it all happened.
Yoshimura James Stewart showed up this weekend for his first race on the new Suzuki and went 1-1 in a couple of great rides. The Floridian still hopes to get better and better as the 450 series goes on and we’ll have him on to talk about his first outdoor national in 3 years.
Monster Pro Circuit team manager Mitch Payton came in with the defending champion and some solid riders as per usual. One of his guys, Blake Baggett, simply dominated the day with a couple of 1-1 rides. The defending champion Dean Wilson is now done for the year needing shoulder surgery and his semi-surprise pick of Ivan Tedesco paid off big-time with a fourth overall. We’ll have Payton on tonight to give us his Hangtown thoughts.
For years now the small motor shop in Pennsylvania Eleven-10 Mods has been putting privateers up front in the 250 class time and time again. It’s all controlled by former pro racer Chad Sanner and we’ll have Sanner on to talk about his riders Alex Martin and Phil Nicoletti tonight.
The surprise of the weekend might have been the strong riding of Monster Pro Circuit’s Ivan Tedesco in his first national in 3 years and first 250 national in seven years. Tedesco ended up a strong 4th overall and appeared to be right on point with his small bike skills. We’ll have Ivan on tonight to tell us about his choice to ride the small bike and what he’s looking forward to from here.
