Langtson Motorsports and Ohlins Part Ways

Team Ohlins/Langston Motorsports/KTM is changing its name to Langston-Witt Racing ("LWR"). The team had a deal in place with Ohlins for the SuperCross season with the intent of extending the relationship into the outdoor season. However, the parties were unable to come to terms.

Team owner Scott Witt said, "We all worked really hard to keep this deal in place but we just could not get it done. It has been great working with Stacey and all the Ohlins guys. Our team has really benefitted from their expertise," Witt said.

"The awkwardness of the timing is indicative of how committed we were to getting things sorted out," said Team Manager Grant Langston. "We are on the road racing with the Ohlins colors on everything and we now have to get things changed. Scott and I had planned for the Ohlins deal to be long term. We were contemplating the LWR concept for 2013 but were working to develop that idea over time. Now we must expedite that process while at the same time focus on racing," Langston said.
