Road to Mammoth Returns to Boise
Monster Energy Road to Mammoth Motocross Series’ returns to Boise this weekend
The Owyhee Motorcycle Club, in conjunction with RacerX, is proud to host the Monster Energy Road to Mammoth Motocross Series. OMC will host Round 5 of this series this Sunday, April 15th, with a public practice day on Saturday. For Saturday, the paid practice will be held from 11am-4pm. On Sunday, the gates will open at 6:30am, registration will be at 7am and practice will begin at 8am. Gate fees are $10.00 per vehicle and camping is free Saturday night.
The Owyhee Motorcycle Club was established in 1940 is a member supported and directed motor sports club in Boise, Idaho; which promotes tours, events and race meets including Motocross and Short Track events year round. Our racing is open to everyone, and you do not have to be a member to race at OMC. The Owyhee Motorcycle Club is a unique venue that is designed around its membership and a family friendly atmosphere. The facility has two distinct and unique tracks, the main track was built for summer weather races; the other is a true sand track for winter/wet weather races.
The ‘Road to Mammoth’ events serve as the qualifying MX Series for the annual Monster Energy Mammoth Mountain National Motocross. This race is a highly prestigious event held each June at the base of the Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Professional and amateur motocross racers from across the United States travel to this event each year in the hope of winning one of the coveted ‘bear’ trophies; many of whom are required to qualify at one of the 6 Monster Energy Road to Mammoth events.
