MSR’s K-Dub Rebounds with Podium
Corona, Ca- This weekends Toronto Supercross marked Windham’s 204th main event start. Kevin was felling pretty banged up after having a tough race last weekend in Indy, and knew he was going to be a difficult night of racing.
K-Dub started the day off by qualifying third overall, which would give him a great starting spot in the second qualifier. Windham didn’t get the best of starts in the heat but made some great passes and battled his way back to third place. The Main Event looked like it would be very challenging as the track rapidly deteriorated through the heat races.
When the gate dropped and the first lap had ended, Windham found himself in the 5th position. From there Dub would continue to put in fast laps and by lap 10 he would pass Millsaps for 4th. As the track continued to deteriorate, Windham found himself catching up to Weimer who was in third. On lap 14 Kevin snuck around the outside of Jake and put himself in a great position for a podium finish. From there he would ride the remainder of the race in third and bring home his second podium of the year.
As the series heads to Houston this weekend (considered one of Windham’s hometown races), look for a great battle to take place as the points chase for 3rd- 6th are just a mere 12 points apart. Be sure to follow all of MSR’s social media sites for up to date race action and results.
